Baby Lasagna i mačak Stipe – Veliko prijateljstvo

Baby Lasagna and his cat Stipe have received their own illustrated storybook! The picture book Veliko prijateljstvo (Great Friendship) tells the story of how the cat Stipe and Baby Lasagna created the hit Rim Tim Tagi Dim, which won Dora and then took them to Eurovision.

Stipe is a one-eyed cat from birth who found a happier life in a home where cats eat lasagna. He meowed his best human friend into becoming Baby Lasagna—because his portions are smaller than usual. One day, Stipe’s clash with the lace on the couch produces sounds that will become the hit song Rim Tim Tagi Dim.

After Lasagna shares the new song and the dance of his cats, he becomes a sensation: he wins Dora, and then the biggest stage yet follows—Eurovision. He climbs onto it with his cats Branka, Gertruda, and Stipe. This is a fable based on true stories, speaking about support, love, and the importance of togetherness.

From his first appearance at Dora, Baby Lasagna has been a stage-loving cat advocate and protector. A proud cat dad, he captivated the nation with Rim Tim Tagi Dim, whose lyrics are intertwined with his cat Stipe—a one-eyed pet from birth who became the hero of Baby Lasagna’s picture book.

The author of both the text and the illustrations is Igor Jurilj, an illustrator and journalist who works under the artistic name Yellow Yuri. He shaped the story of the great friendship between Stipe the cat and Baby Lasagna with the help of this year’s favorite and one of the protagonists—Baby Lasagna.
